Top teams carry on winning

The Sunday league burst back into action after the winter break and Terregles carried on where they left off but they had to come from behind again as Jimmy Reid disposed the defender and rifled home the opener for FC Annan at Lockerbie. A Sandy Bowie double and strike from Cammy Sinclair had Terregles in charge at the interval and Paul McCann made it four early in the second half, Shaun Bell reduced the arrears from a corner but Gary White and Alan Hunter made sure of the points for Terregles. An early kick off at Lockerbie saw Gretna host Dumfries, and it was the visitors who went ahead through Corey Wells but the hosts came back to lead 2-1 at half time. Kieron Murray and Cain McKie turned the game back in Dumfries favour but Gretna looked to have earned a point when they scored late on before Callum Jess pounced to give Dumfries victory. Five Arches Bombers kept the pressure on at the top as a Graham Maxwell brace and goals from Aaron Jardine and Duncan Smith gave them the win over Annan Town who replied through Ryan Riches and Billy Warwick. Palmerston Colts also picked up a hard earned three points with goals from Aaron Callander and Ross Stevenson enough to see off Ruthwell Rovers. Hole in the Wa travelled to Penpont and won by the odd goal in five with their strikes coming from Greg Alison and a Shaun Milligan double, with Robert McCormack and Ross Lockhart scoring the Scaur goals.
