Weekly Report 29th November

A mixture of torrential rain put paid to just about the entire fixture card and what pitches survived were beaten by the high winds. Only the 1 game survived which saw Black Bull visit Ruthwell at Clarencefield where the 2 teams were deperate for a victory after both struggling this season. Black Bull flew out the traps and raced into a 3-0 lead at half time with goals from Macauley Smith then a double from Jamie Robson on the half hour mark. Ruthwell knew they had to have an equally emphatic start to the second half and Ewan Buchanan and Paul Otway both scored to make the game 3-2. Both sides had chances but that elusive equaliser wasnt to be and this maybe the catalyst to kickstart Black Bulls season. Next week sees 3 of our top clubs travel into the central belt in the Scottish Cup and the league wish all 3 clubs well. The league would also like to wish Curtis Tudhope a healthy recovery after a horror injury in last weeks game and we hope to see him back next season.
