The last games were played on Sunday before the winter break and the plaudits have to go to Hole in Wa who are having a fantastic season locally and now will also be in the Scottish Grouse Cup after the new year. Wa travelled to Broxburn in pretty awful weather and the game only just passed a pitch inspection when Wa had arrived. The Dumfries lads got a superb start when after 6 minutes when Scott Gordon fired home at the back post from a corner. After that the game was tight until the teams went in at half time with Wa 1-0 up. Second half and Wa again came flying out of the traps when Joe Jardine tried to play in Dale Talaszko who looked to have lost the chance but Dale pounced on an error from the defender to extend Wa's lead. Joe Jardine then effectively put Wa into the next round when went on a great run from halfway ghosting past defenders to finish well. Broxburn scored from a scramble in 88 minutes but again Wa were happy to go forward and in the last minute Joe Jardine cut a ball back for youngster Mark Wilson to score. Locally and Kelloholm will be delighted with a cup win at home to Terregles, admittedly Terregles were a little weak on the day but you can only beat the team in front of you and Kelloholm will be happy to be through. Keiran O'Connor hit a double for the hosts as well as strikes from Matthew Fletcher and Shaun Perry, Terregles scorer was Jordan Jones with a double to continue his good start to the season. Final game of the day saw a fairly routine win for Annan Town against Greens scorers being Savage (2), Rogerson, Watson and Ferguson. The season officially restarts on January 17th but on Sunday 10th the league has its annual soccer 6's indoor tournament at the Palmerston Arena.
