Normandy Star know they need two wins from their four remaining league games to clinch automatic promotion after Terregles completed their league campaign five points clear in the First division after seeing off Summerhill by two goals to nil with strikes from Tommy Goss and Jack Wilson. The Holm Park hosted three matches, Ruthwell recorded a thumping victory over Greens Park, opening the scoring within a minute but took until the 20th to add a second. Park hoped they had got back into the game when Robbie Simpson was fouled on the edge of the box and fired home the resultant free kick but it only took five minutes for Ruthwell to restore their cushion. Ruthwell were clinical in the second half scoring four goals in a twenty minute spell and adding an eighth before the end. In the Premier Division Five Arches recorded a 2-0 win over Jolly Harvester thanks to David Bradbury and Duncan Smith counters, while up at Penpont Kelloholm continued their impressive run of form scoring Five without reply to leave Scaur in real relegation danger. Ben Johnstone helped himself to a hat trick and Shaun Perry and Michael Anderson also on the scoresheet. Nithside breezed through in the Heathhall Garden centre Trophy , a Thomas Nicholson Hat trick alongside a brace from Michael McGhie and singles from Mark Carruthers and Sean Potts saw off Dumfries who got a consolation through Graeme Woodward. Palmerston Colts joined them in the quarter finals seeing off Youth United. The Colts were 3-0 up at half-time with Mark Cravens, Greig Lawrie and a solo effort from Liam Malcolm putting them in charge. Youth pulled a goal back in the second half but Mark Cravens got his second to see Palmerston through.
