Hole in the Wa title hopes suffered a dent midweek as they were beaten by Palmerston Colts. Some good work from Craig Kerr set up Mark Cravens for the only goal of the first half, and Craig Kerr added a second after the break, Hole in the Wa were then reduced to ten men and Greig Lawrie made it three nil, though the Wa did grab a late consultation. Annan Town took advantage of the slip as they saw off Jolly Harvester to return to the top of the table. A Brian Mattinson hat trick was added to by Darren Watson, Ewan Buchanan and Mark Rogerson for a 6-1 win. Moffat Thistle enjoyed a good midweek win over Loreburn Thistle, who put in a gutsy performance despite a thin squad. Black Bull Rovers continued their climb up the table as the leapfrogged Dumfries Athletic with a 5-3 win. While FC Annan all but secured third place with a thumping win in the Annan Derby, racing to a six nil half time lead and adding two more in the second half, with a thumping Dan Taylor strike proving little consolation for Annan Town Development.
