Moffat Thistle will be going for the clean sweep of cups next week after they saw off Nithside by the odd goal in five to move into the Heathhall Garden Centre Trophy Final, Kevin Jack double and a counter from Roddy Carlyle cancelled out strikes from Lee Taylor and Michael McGhie. They will face Normandy Star in the final as the newly crowned First Division champions claimed the scalp of Premier Leaders Annan Town by five goals to two. Normandy were two up at half time and added a third before Annan rallied, goals from Brain Mattinson and Michael Thomson were not enough as Normandy went through thanks to a brace from Jack Louden and goals from Kris Shannon, John Howie and Cammy Sinclair. First Division fixtures were wrapped up last week, Dumfries Athletic finished on a high with a four two win at Ruthwell that lifted them into the top half of the table. Graeme Woodward equalised an early Ruthwell goal and Wayne Petrie put Dumfries ahead, Woodward added his second before Ruthwell pulled one back but Stuart Wight made sure of the win for Athletic. FC Annan finished third with a six one victory over Summerhill, Chris Norval scored a solo effort which was cancelled out by an own goal but Keith Rogerson scored to send Annan in ahead at the break. Stephen Hughes then hit a free kick from his own half to give Annan a cushion before Jared Paterson scored and Matthew Rogerson netted twice to complete the win. Palmerston Colts recorded two five goal victories over Jolly Harvester in three days with Craig Kerr firing a hat trick and Ally Mason and Craig Broadfoot netting in a five nil win on Thursday night. Jolly went two nil up in the return fixture on Sunday through Sean Peat and Kris Clark, and added a third through Aaron Jardine, but Mark Cravens bagged a treble, Ally Mason and Andy Gilston both grabbed doubles and Murray Campbell was also on the scoresheet in an eight three win. Thursday night also saw Kelloholm rattle in seven against Nithside, a Bob O'Connor hat trick was added to by Curtis Tudhope, Matthew Fletcher, Ben Johnstone and Scott Milne, with Corey Henderson and Mark Carruthers scoring for Nithside.
