With their fifth straight win on the board Moffat Thistle are positioning themselves nicely in the title race. They travelled to Dumfries to face Nithside and goals from Adam Kerr, Aiden Wallace and Andrew French combined with a solid defensive performance saw them win by three goals to nil. Hole in the Wa dropped their first points of the season as they were held to a goalless draw by Normandy Star, both sides played some nice football in a toughly contested match but neither could find the breakthrough to take full points. Annan Town travelled to Penpont to pick up their first three points of the campaign while inflicting a first defeat on their hosts. Liam Grimley opened the scoring with a looping header before Danny Lockerby doubled the lead from the spot, a penalty for Scaur was dispatched by Chris Cloy to reduce the arrears but a Carl Crosbie double was enough to get the win for Town. Morton Youth also opened their Premier division account as they put Queens Bar to the sword. Jordan Barker beat three defenders and rounded the keeper to open the scoring and Shaun Kirk smashed in the second from the edge of the box, Ben Dempster volleyed home a third and Jack Jones added a fourth, with Owen Welsh and Ewan Buchanan on target for Queens. In the First Division it's Five Arches Bombers who are setting the pace and they kept their 100% record intact with a win at Clarencefield, although it was Ruthwell who went ahead through Ben Turner Bombers roared back and strikes from Greg Rice and Graeme Maxwell turned it round and a Duncan Smith free kick put them further ahead. Graeme Maxwell added a fourth before Josh Adams scored to give Ruthwell hope, which was quickly extinguished as Graeme Maxwell completed his hat trick. Loreburn Thistle lost more ground on the leaders as they were beaten by Dumfries Athletic. Ewan McLellan scored the only goal of the first half and Keenan Moss put Dumfries two up before Jamie Linwood scored for Loreburn, Liam Watson restored the buffer for Dumfries but Loreburn came back again through Andrew Drysdale before Liam Watson hit his second to seal the win. The final match of the day saw a nine goal thriller at Jocks Loaning, Kyle Gallacher hit a hat trick for Summerhill, and John Campbell matched that haul for FC Annan, all three coming from the spot. A brace for Chris Watson was enough to secure Summerhills first win of the campaign as Mark Leesing Senior grabbed a consolation for Annan.
