Kelloholm get off the Mark

It was business as usual for Moffat Thistle as they made it eight league wins out of eight at the expense of Scaur. An Adam Henderson double was added to by Callum Saunders and a thirty yard howitzer from Justin Borthwick, with Ben Louden replying for Scaur. Nithside keep up the chase as they came out on top against Morton Youth. Thomas Nicholson helped himself to four goals with Sandy Kennedy and Stevie Green also netting. Morton goals came from Islam Kadyrov and Jordan Barker who hit two apiece. At the bottom end of the table Kelloholm picked up their first three points of the sason and leapfrogged Queens Bar with Dillan Wells, Rory Kilpatrick and Ian Bell cancelling out strikes from Logan MacDonald and Mark Carruthers for Queens. Hole in the Wa were in fine form as they put palmerston Colts to the sword, Sean Peat scored the first of his four goals after only two minutes and Eddie Marshall made it 2-0 on the quarter hour before Colts were reduced to ten men and Eddie and Sean scored again to put the Wa in charge at the interval. Palmerston pulled one back early in the second half before Sean Peat hit his third and fourth. Mikey Devlin made it seven and then another red made it ten a side, Martin Galligan netted for the Wa before Colts got a late consolation. In the fianl match Normandy Star saw off Annan Town with goals from Scott Learmont, Jack Ogston and Corey Thomson with Gary Crosbie netting for Annan. In the First division Dumfries Athletic stay second with a win over Loreburn Thistle. A Liam Watson double and strike from Cain McKie had them crusing but Loreburn bounced back with a Rees Brown brace and strike from Martin Edgar, Dumfries bounced back though and a kennan Moss header, Allan Lamb penalty and Cain McKies second earned them all three points. Park Thistle are hot on their heels as they got back to winning ways against Black Bull Rovers despite going behind early on. Robbie Simpson levelled and Cairn Jamieson put Park in front before Black Bull rallied and drew level but a blistering last ten minutes saw Park earn the win with goals from Quinn Rogerson, a Jonny Riddick header and a Rab Clyde strike. FC Annan climbed to fourth by seeing off a stubborn Summerhill side. John Campbell hit a double and Chris Norval grabbed a hat trick with James Reid also getting on the scoresheet.
