A reduced fixture list going into the Christmas break saw some cracking Premier ties played out. Moffat Thistle dropped their first league points of the season, as Hole in the Wa gave themselves, and the rest of the chasing pack, hope with the win. The Wa, looking to bounce back from a hefty defeat last weekend, started well and were ahead on five minutes as a Mark Milligan corner curled straight into the net. The two sides cancelled eachother out for large parts of the first half but Moffat did draw level just after the half hour when a cross from the right was deflected off the unfortunate defender. The Wa got their noses back in front just before half time as Mark Milligan threw a free kick into the box and Bruce McQuarrie got the crucial touch to net. The second half proved as cagey as the first as the next goal was likely to prove crucial, and it took til the 80th minute for the Wa to get it, again Mark Milligan the provider for Stuart Smith to score. Moffat pushed forward to try and rescue something from the game but deep into stoppage time the last word went to Eddie Marshall who was sent through one on one and squared to Sean Peat who made no mistake to take his personal tally to thirty goals for the season. Normandy Star and Palmerston Colts had to settle for a share of the spoils, with the Colts goals coming from Aaron Callender, Andrew Gilston, Greig Lawrie and an own goal and Jordan Muirhead, Bobby Green, John Howie and Scott Learmont scoring for Normandy in an eight goal thriller. It was also honours even between Morton Youth and Scaur. Morton roared into a three nil lead but Scaur rode the storm and began the fightback with a Josh Notman goal, they were then awarded a penalty which Chris Cloy converted to set up a barnstorming finish, with Robert O'Connor pouncing to snatch a point.
