Normandy Star are ending the season in impressive form, and with their eyes on two trophies. They eased into the Houliston Cup Final by seeing off Moffat Thistle on penalties as the two sides could not be separated in 120 minutes of football. Normandy goals came through a Mark Cravens double, Dylan Irving and Jack Ogston, and Darren Holt saved three penalties to see them progress. Their opponents in the Final will be Nithside who came from behind against Palmerston Colts to ease through. Andy Gilston bagged a brace for Palmerston but a Thomas Nicholson hat-trick and strike from Michael McGhie sent Nithside into their second final of the season. Normandy will face Hole in the Wa in the Heathhall Garden Centre Semi Final on Friday night with the winners facing Five Arches Bombers at Palmerston in the final next Sunday. Bombers took their place in the final after recovering from losing an early goal to Queens Bar, but a hat trick for Chris Ross put them ahead and goals from Thomas Coles, Callum Rankine and a Tom McMahon screamer were added to by a treble from top scorer Duncan Smith, a late penalty was scant consolation for Queens Bar.
