League Cup Quarter Line Up decided

The Doonhamer Bistro League Cup Quarter Final line up was completed this week with both Annan teams making it through after Annan Town beat Queens Bar 4-2 midweek with goals from Danny Lockerby, Liam Grimley, James Jardine and Ian Cameron with Kenneth Meader and Michael Tait on target for Queens Bar. Normandy Star made it four wins out of four in the group of death with Gary White, Paul McCann and an OG helping them to a midweek win over Palmerston Colts, who got a consolation through Darren Kerr and a Greg Walls hat trick, strikes from Paul McCann, Gary White, Tommy Goss and Kris Sahnnon put Morton Youth to the sword on Sunday - Jordan Gilmout netting for Morton. Mikey Devlin and Islam Kadyrov bagged a brace apiece against Palmerston Colts but couldnt stop the Colts progressing on goal difference to face Nithside who topped Group D on goal difference after a thumping win over Dumfries, despite going two goals down. Ali Baird scored twice for Dumfries and Lewis Lamb also netted but four goals from Michael McGhie, two from Thomas Nicholson and efforts from Sean Kirk, Aaron Currie, Scott Muir and Rab Blyth saw Nithside through. Summerhill made an impressive start to the First Division battle with a 3-0 win over Sands midweek curtesy of a Ryan Galacher treble, and he bagged two more on Sunday as they came from behind three times against Park Thistle to win with Ian Christine, Davie Cain and Brodie McKerlie also on target while Chris Bailey had scored twice for Park after Dougie Rae had opened the scoring. Park did start with a win midweek at FC Annan as Robbie Simpson and a Nik Lismanis strike gave them three points. Kelloholm also have three points on the board as they saw off Ruthwell Rovers with goals from Bryan Brown, Colin Bell and Robert O'Connor after Matty Donagher had headed an equaliser for Ruthwell. The other relegated side Queens Bar also started with a win as they showed no mercy to new boys Sands, with Mark Carruther scoring four, Kenneth Meader and Corey Henderson hitting doubles and Davey Nish bringing up 9 with an OG giving Sands their counter. There was one Premier division match which saw Five Arches Bombers return to the top flight with a win. A Russel Jardine hat trick and goals from Tam Coles, Duncan Smith and Stephen McDill were enough to see off Moffat who scored through Roddy Carlyle, Callum Saunders and an Own Goal
