Scaur blazed into the third round of the Scottish Sunday Trophy with Matt Coleman smashing in a hat trick agaibst Broughton Albion at Penpont, Ben Louden, Ellis McLachlan, Elliot Brown and Ben Murphy were also all on target in an impressive victory. A cracking match was played at Beattock with Moffat Thistle underlining their determination to keep hold of the title as they saw off challengers Normandy Star. Darren Hunter opened the scoring and Adam Henderson converted a penalty before Tommy Goss pulled one back for Normandy. Darren Hunter scored again but so did Tommy Goss before Adam Henderson converted his second penalty and Kevin Jack put Moffat further in front. A Jordan Muirhead goal gave the visitors hope but Declan Wallace made sure of victory for Moffat before a late Jak Dingwall consolation. Nithside eased into second place but had to come from behind as Taylor Brett had Dumfries in front, but a Michael McGhie hat trick, Thomas Nicholson, Jordan Barker and Sandy Kennedy made sure of the win for Nithside. Also in the Premier Palmerston Colts picked up their first points of the season at the expense of Morton Youth. Darren Monteith bagged another four goal haul and Axl Menlove also grabbed a treble with Ryan Kerr also scoring for Palmerston and Dylan Irving and an Andrew Burgess brace counting for Morton. An eagerly awaited clash in the First Division saw Queens Bar take control of the division as Summerhill lost their first points this season. Two Corey Henderson goals had Queens in control but Summerhill roared back to level and the game looked to be heading for a draw before Corey completed his hat trick with ten to play and Mark Carruthers made sure of the points. Down at Clarencefield FC Annan went three up against Ruthwell with goals from Jimmy Reid, Brady Irving and Mark Leesing before a late rally from the home side with Paul Otway and Grant Bryson netting, but Annan held on to all three points.
