The return of the Sunday league 'El Classico' on Sunday Saw Five Arches Bombers draw first blood in the 24th minute with Russel Jardine first to react to a save to prod home, while the Hole in the Wa defence were looking for offside. It took the Wa til the 53rd minute to level, as Mikey Devlin was brought down in the box and Chris Cloy made no mistake from the spot. The Wa spurned some good chances to win the match and both sides had to settle for a point. Normandy Star picked up three good points from the visit of Annan Town, with Jordan Nish bagging a brace and Gary White and Jack Ogston also on target while Liam Watson replied for Annan. Scaur also won by the same scoreline as Morton Youth travelled to Penpont. Sandy Bowie, Ellis McLachlan, Matt Coleman and Kevin McKie scored with Ross Coupland heading home for the visitors. Moffat Thistle were in Scottish Trophy action after last weeks postponement, and bowed out on penalties after a hard fought 2-2 draw. The first Division is shaping up to be a hard fought contest, with Park Thistle picking up a good win over Sands, courtesy of hat tricks from both Chris Bailey and Robbie Simpson and a double for Robert Chambers, as well as an own goal. Sands did get a consolation through Argyle Smith. Summerhill came from behind after Josh Davidson opened the scoring for Ruthwell a Kyle Gallacher treble and goals from Morgan McQueen, Ryan Harper and Darrell Klose saw them win comfortably. FC Annan also took full points from a tough match against Kelloholm. Jimmy Reid and Brian Anderson scored two apiece for Annan with Ryan Riches also on target while a James Brown hat trick was not enough for Kelloholm.
