With a referee training course on Sunday there was a reduced fixture card. Match of the day had to be at Holm Park where Nithside knew a win would take them level at the top with Moffat Thistle, and it was Nithside who took the lead and some inspired goalkeeping seemed to be earning them all three points until Stefan Jackson popped up with a leveller for Moffat. As the match went into added time a draw looked inevitible until up popped Kevin Jack to steal the three points and give Moffat some breathing space at the summit. Scaur hosted Annan Town with only a point seperating them in the table but the home side were always well in control with Ellis McLachlan scoring twice and Kevin McKie also grabbing a brace. Mat Coleman and Sandy Bowie were also on target with Ashleigh Maxwell replying for Annan. In the First division there was another crunch match and the promotion battle was turned up a couple of degrees as FC Annan closed the gap at the top with a fine win over Queens Bar. Mark Leesing scored twice for the home side with Jimmy Reid, Chris Norval and Brady Irving also all on target.
