FC set up all Annan Cup Tie

Sunday League returned from its winter break, but unfortunately the weather had not relented and all but one of the games were wiped out. The surviving tie was the Houliston Cup preliminary tie which went ahead at the Marchmount 3G. Queens Bar started brightly and took the lead through mark Carruthers but FC Annan levelled through Chris Norval. Queens were enjoying the best of the first half and deservedly went in front again through Ryan Beattie, they looked like going in ahead at half time but a blistering effort from Ryan Riches levelled the score again. Second half saw Annan step up a gear and When Chris Norval put them ahead for the first time they took control of the game and a Jimmy Reid double put them out of sight. Queens Bar never gave up and created enough chances to get back in the game but a late consolation strike from Davy Nish was all they had to show for their second half efforts as FC Annan progress to face Annan Town in the First Round next weekend.
