Bombers win big


Moffat Thistle extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division as they put Morton Youth to the sword with a brace apiece from Adam Henderson and Stefan Jackson as well as goals from Roddy Carlyle, Aiden Wallace and Niki Frame, Normandy Star lost ground at the top as they were held to a draw by Palmerston Colts. Normandy drew first blood through Mark Cravens but Liam Malcolm pounced to earn the Colts a share of the spoils. Five Arches Bombers continue their chase at the top with a dismantling of Dumfries Athletic. four goals from Russel Jardine were added to by Callum Rankine, Graeme Maxwell, Tom Coles, Tom McMahon and Chris Ross, with Dumfries getting a consolation courtesy of an own goal. Hole in the Wa stay on the periphery of the title race coming from behind to win against Annan Town, Wa tool the lead thanks to a Dale Talaszko goal but Annan turned things with strikes from Darren Watson and John Campbell. Wa came back though and Lee True levelled before an Allan Hunter header put them in front again and Islam Kadyrov scored to make sure of the win. In the First Division FC Annan continue to lead the way thanks to a win over Sands, Mark Leesing and Chris Norval both pitched in with doubles and Brady Irving and Brian Anderson were also on the scoresheet, with Danny Heron providing a consolation for Sands. Queens Bar stay second after edging third placed Summerhill by the odd goal in nine. Jamie Linwood, Ryan Beattie, Derek Hunter, Rees Brown and Mark Carruthers scored for Queens Bar with Jamie Kimm hitting a brace and Kyle Gallagher and Ryan Harper were on target for Summerhill. The final match of the day saw Ruthwell Rovers upset Park Thistle. Ruthwell raced to a three goal lead with Luca Pagani scoring, Robbie Graham netting a long range free kick and Josh Davidson firing home from the edge of the box. Park fought back with a Robbie Simpson goal and a deflected strike from Adnan Dogrultan but they could not rescue a point.
