Houliston cup holders Nithside bowed out at the quarter final stage in a seven goal thriller with Palmerston Colts. Nithside went ahead through Sean Potts but a Sean Kearney double and Greig Lawrie had Colts ahead before Thomas Nicholson reduced the arrears. Darren Tait gave Palmerston a two goal cushion again before a Scott Muir strike gave Nithside hope, but the Colts held on to progress. FC Annan were the only first division team left in the cup and their task was made harder with a threadbare squad and going down to ten men, they battled manfully but were no match for Normandy Star as Michael McGhie hit six goals and Tommy Goss also grabbed a hat trick with Jak Dingwall also on the scoresheet. Annan did get counters thanks to Lewis Hawes and Tony Power. Hole in the Wa will face Five Arches Bombers in the other Semi final after both teams won their quarters by three goals to two. Graeme Maxwell scored either side of half time to put Bombers in control against Dumfries Athletic but the Five Arches keeper was sent off and Alan Lamb converted the penalty to give Dumfries hope. Graeme Jamieson restored the cushion for the Bombers before Ewan McLellan pulled it back to one but Dumfries could not find an equaliser. Hole in the Wa travelled to Moffat Thistle and were three nil up thanks to a 25 yard strike from Mark Milligan, and own goal from the Moffat keeper and a penalty converted by Chris Cloy. Moffat staged a fightback with Stefan Jackson scoring on the hour mark, Moffat then missed a penalty of their own. they did get a second in stoppage time through Julian Mills but it was too late to salvage anything. There was one Premier League game with Annan Town beating Scaur to climb above them in the table thanks to goals from Mark Rogerson and Liam Grimley. In the First Division third played fourth and could not be separated. Daniel Cottrell opened the scoring for Summerhill but Cole Rogerson levelled for Park Thistle from long range. Ryan Harper put Summerhill back in front before goals from Dougie Rae and Chris Bailey put Park ahead but an Ian Christine strike earned a point for Summerhill.
