Scaur remain top of the tree

Annan Town continued their 100% league start as they travelled to play Normandy Star and were front inside a couple of minutes as Dale Muir headed home a corner, they doubled their lead on 20 minutes through Callum Laurie but Normandy responded ten minutes later as Dougie Rae netted, An early second half goal from John Campbell restored the advantage and Danny Lockerby made sure of the win. Scaur remain top of the table though after edging out Hole in the Wa in an eleven goal thriller. A Rees Brown hat-trick, two from Rab Menzies and one from Kevin McKie for Scaur, with Eddie Marshall and Dale Talaszko bagging a brace apiece and Islam Kadyrov also on target for the Wa. Five Arches Bombers share top spot as they also won a tight game against Summerhill. A Gary White double and Grant Elliot header cancelled out strikes from Darrell Klose and Mark Skachill. Palmerston Colts lost ground despite taking a valuable point from Moffat Thistle with Ross Kerr scoring twice for Colts and Lee Martin also netting. Ruthwell Rovers and Dumfries Athletic also shared the spoils with Luca Pagani scoring twice for Rovers and Callum Jess and Alan Lamb replying for the visitors. Finally FC Annan picked up three points as they hosted Crichton Campus. Nathan Moore and Dion Irving scored two each and Chris Norval and Iain Cameron also found the net while Robert Chambers responded for Crichton.
