Ruthwell Rovers eased into the third round draw for the Scottish Sunday Trophy as Luca Pagani bagged a hat trick and Owen Brown scored with a thunderbolt to give them a 4-1 win over Bruce Arms. They will be joined in the draw by Palmerston Colts who opened the scoring through Ross Kerr and when the Victoria Park keeper saw red it made the Colts afternoon a little easier. Ross Kerr scored another, Jordan Barker also grabbed a double with Craig Kerr, Ellis McLachlan and Darren McKnight all on target. The league will have a third team in the draw as Nithsides opponents failed to make the trip to Dumfries. Bowing out at this stage are Scaur, who went in front in Fife through Rab Menzies but were pegged back and lost out to an own goal ten minutes from time. Annan Town also slipped out in wet conditions, John Campbell scoring their goal in a three one loss. Crichton made the long journey to Aberdeen with a threadbare squad and had goals from Cameron McLuckie and Jay Livingstone to show for their efforts despite crashing out. RIverside had a thankless task away at Harvester who are regulars at the business end of this competition and the result is one to be forgotten for the local side. On league business Five Arches went top of the table with goals from Gary White, Gary Ferguson and Stewart Cobban and a brace for Tam Coles earning the win over FC Annan who countered through Kyle Gallacher and Chris Norval. Moffat Thistle put in a professional display to see off Summerhill with fan Adam Henderson hat-trick, Aiden Wallace and an Own Goal. While at Hospital Park Normandy Star took an early lead through Dougie Rae, Dumfries levelled through Andy Linden before Cain McKie had them in front. Martin Candler denied Normandy an equaliser with a smart penalty stop, and last word went to Kieran Murray to make sure of the win for Athletic.
