Palmerston end year with a win

The horrendous weather last week wiped out all but one of Sundays fixtures, but what a cracking match it was heading into the Christmas break. Palmerston Colts climbed three places to fourth, and above opponents Nithside with a clinical three nil victory as both sides played some lovely football. Scorers for Palmerston were Ross Kerr, Darren McKnight an Ellis McLachlan. The postponements mean the make up of the top and bottom halves of the table are still on doubt with three teams all in contention for eighth spot ahead of the split. We now have a two week break for the festive period and hopefully the picture will become clearer on the 6th January ahead of the annual indoor tournament on the 13th when Palmerston Colts will defend their sixes title.
