A couple of massive games at the top of the Premier on Sunday as firstly Five Arches Bombers kept themselves in pole position after grinding out a single goal victory which seems to have put paid to Nithside hopes of a title challenge. A very even match was settled with a late Graeme Maxwell goal. Hole in the Wa leapfrogged Scaur into second with a two nil victory thanks to Kris Shannon and Dale Talaszko strikes. The composition of the two divisions was settled as Ruthwell Rovers and Morton Thistle both lost their final pre-split matches to leave FC Annan in the top half. Annan Town climbed two spots with their comprehensive win over Morton, Ashleigh Maxwell grabbed a hat trick while Dale Muir, Ryan Riches, Daniel Carey and Billy Sutherland all bagged doubles, and Dion Irving and Danny Lockerby also scored, with Rees Brown grabbing a consolation for Thistle. Palmerston Colts keep their eyes on the top of the table as they triumphed at Ruthwell. Jordan Barker scored four with Liam Malcolm netting twice and Declan Ramage and Craig Kerr also on target. Owen Brown bagged a brace for Rovers and Robert Jardine also scored. Moffat Thistle won their postponed cup tie at FC Annan with Adam Henderson and Aiden Wallace both hitting hat tricks and Billy Armitage also on target. Dumfries Athletic started their push for the First Division title with a five nil win over Normandy Star. Callum Jess and Alan Lamb had them up at the break and a second goal for Alan Lamb was added to by Ewan McLellan and Ryan Kerr for a comfortable win. Finally Summerhill edged Riverside in an eight goal thriller, with Ryan Harper, Dougie Rae, Ryan Gilmour and Kyle Gallagher(2) scoring for the Hill and Luke Broadhurst netting twice and Diesel Ferguson also on target for Riverside.
