Moffat Thistle put an end to Five Arches Bombers impressive cup record by putting the holders out of the Heathhall Garden Centre Trophy. Jon Muir and Julian Mills scored early goals to put Moffat in control but Duncan Smith reduced the arrears and Graeme Maxwell levelled for Bombers and no further scoring sent the match to extra time. An early goal for Moffat came via an unfortunate Bombers defender and Robert Telfer added another to send Thistle through. They will face Palmerston Colts in the Semis who eased past Summerhill with an Ellis McLachlan double as well as goals from Craig Kerr, Jordan Barker, Darren Kerr and Owen Brown, while Kyle Gallacher netted a consolation for the Hill. Scaur also progressed to the semis with a home win over Dumfries. Rab Menzies hit the only goal of a tight first half and scored his second after the break, Leigh Hislop made it three to make the scoreline look comfortable, which was slightly harsh on Dumfries given their efforts in the match. Another couple of tight matches in the First Division, firstly Morton took an early lead over Normandy Star with Paul Errington netting, but Star levelled with a Kenneth Meader header. As the 90 minutes came and went Morton looked to have got the win with a stoppage time goal from Greg Cameron but Normandy through everyone into the box for a last minute corner and goalkeeper Grant Smith got his head to the ball to earn his side a point. Down at Clarencefield Ethan Black gave Ruthwell the lead against Crichton but Lewis Banks scored a goal in each half for the visitors to snatch the three points which lift them above Morton in the table.
