Colts take over at the top

Palmerston Colts shrugged off their cup final heartbreak to go top of the table and gain a measure of revenge over Five Arches Bombers in the process, Bombers are the only team to have beaten Colts this season and they knew a win would see them go top. In an absolutely enthralling end to end game Darren Kerr converted from the spot for Colts, Jordan Barker and Ellis McLachlan also netted and an own goal gave them the three points, with Sean Kevan, Greg Walls and Duncan Smith on target for Five Arches. Moffat Thistle edged another tight match at Penpont to leapfrog Scaur in the table, with both teams mathematically still in the title race. Goals from Ross McMillan and Adam Henderson gave Moffat victory while Leigh Hyslop scored for the home side. Riverside needed to avoid a two goal defeat to stay off the foot of the first division but they ended their campaign with their best result of the season, top scorer Luke Broadhurst scored four with contributions from Diesel Ferguson, Aaron Jackson, Harris Roan and Argyle Smith putting Crichton Campus to the sword despite a Chris Bailey double and goal from Lewis Banks.
