Terregles back on top

The highly anticipated top of the table clash between Five Arches Bombers and Terregles was played at Marchmount on Sunday afternoon, and the game lived up to its billing with a fine advert for the Amateur League. It was Terregles who maintained their 100% record to go back to the top of the table as Sandy Kennedy netted twice, Cammy Sinclair, Stephen Green and Allan Hunter were all on target, with Kenni Dinnel grabbing a consolation for Bombers. Dumfries Athletic moved up to third but had to grind out the win against a stubborn Gretna side, a first half Kieron Murray goal and late strike from Ewan McLellan gave Dumfries the points. Morton Thistle are fourth as a Quinn Rogerson brace andStefan Tate free kick gave them the victory at Ruthwell. Hole in the Wa edged out Scaur with Davy Paterson opening the scoring before Matt Coleman levelled but Adam Henderson popped up with the winner for the home side. Palmerston Colts picked up an impressive win at Hospital Park, with Ross Kerr opening the scoring early on before the Normandy keeper was sent off after only 8 minutes, Jamie Simpson saved the spot kick and Normandy levelled through a Jerzy Grzebieniak free kick but the extra man told as Palmy used the spaces and Ross Kerr headed a second, Darren Watson scored twice, Ryan Gilmour, Ross Stevenson and Lee Graham all netted as Normandy had a second red card in the second half. In the final match, FC Annan condemned Riverside to the bottom spot with a win in a close encounter. Shaun Bell, Iain Cameron, Dion Irving and Cammy Irvine scored for Annan with Lewis Lamb and Steven Graham on target for Riverside.
