Big wins for Morton and Scaur

With Five Arches not in action, Terregles had a chance to use one of their games in hand to narrow the gap. Things didn't go to plan early on as Luke Broadhurst opened the scoring for Normandy Star, and it stayed 1.0 til halftime, An early second half goal from Sean Kirk followed by his second from the spot turned the game round. A third goal came through Michael McGhie and Sean Kirk completed his hat-trick with a second penalty. Cammy Sinclair and Alan Hunter added two more in the last few minutes to put Terregles within touching distance of top again. Morton Thistle bounced back from a defeat last weekend with Thomas Nicholson scoring three and Darrel Klose and Jack Louden both netting twice as well as Ross Coupland and Kieron Kenny finding the net to heap misery on Riverside. Scaur also put a loss last weekend behind them to score nine, this time Ruthwell were on the receiving end as Ross Lockhart, Robert McCormack, Leigh Hyslop and Craig Murdoch bagged a brace apiece with the odd goal coming from Matt Thomson. An absolute goal fest at Lockerbie saw Palmerston Colts triumph over FC Annan, Ross Kerr helped himself to four goals, Ross Stevenson netted twice and Ross MacDonald and Darren Watson also found the target for Colts with Brady Irving, Cammy Irvine, Bradley James and Martin McKeeman the scorers for Annan. Annan Town were on the right side of a big scoreline with Daniel Carey scoring twice in the first five minutes before Callum Jess pulled one back for Dumfries Athletic. Greig Goodwin netted twice to put Annan in control and Ryan Riches added their fifth with Dumfries then missing a penalty before Chris Norval and Grant Schoolar made it 7 fro Annan. Alex Barron got a late consolation for Athletic from the spot. Hole in the Wa were also winners with Dale Talaszko opening the scoring on the half hour, Lee True curling in a sublime free kick to make it two at half time. Gretna were chasing the game but an Adam Henderson double on the 75th and 76th minutes and Sean Potts scoring with ten to play had the points in the bag before Gretna grabbed a late consolation.
