Big win for Palmerston

In a massive match at the top of the table Five Arches Bombers and Palmerston Colts put their unbeaten records on the line, First blood went to Palmerston from a Ross Kerr free kick and a Ryan Beattie header had them two up at the break. Greame Maxwell pulled one back to give the Bombers hope but a Darren Watson header sealed the win for Colts with ten to play. Bombers loss gave Annan Town a chance to regain the summit but they were made to work for it by Dumfries Athletic who went in front through Corey Wells but Billy Sutherland drew Annan level. Corey Wells had Dumfries in front again but a Mikey Thomson double had Annan in front for the first time and a late Daniel Carey strike sent Annan top again. FC Annan also bagged three points as Bradley James and Chris Nelson scored against Lochside Club. Terregles continue their fine form with a convincing win at Threave thanks to an Allan Hunter double, another goal from Dempsey Rowan and Greg Walls, Gary White and Stevie Green all finding the net. Ruthwell were made to work hard for the win against Eastriggs, with Alastair Smith scoring the only goal of the first half, Logan Dixon and Luca Pagani added to the score and an own goal wrapped up the win for Rovers. There was

another cracking match at Marchmount where Scaur edged an eight goal thriller. Ben Murphy had the visitors ahead but Joseph Marshall levelled for Greystone. Jamie Linwood put Scaur in front again and Greystone missed a penalty before Drife Finlay and Ross Lockhart put Scaur in control. Harry Rosbottom and Mitchell Hammond scored to set up a grandstand finish but Ross Lockhart got his second to give Scaur the cushion and they saw out the game.
