Dumfries pick up Vital win

The weekend rain knocked out all three grass park fixtures in the Sunday League, but artificial pitches saw four games going ahead. A cracking match at the High School saw Dumfries edge out Greystone by five goals to three. Marcus Zygaldo had Greystone ahead but Corey Wells headed in an equaliser and Andy Linden netted twice for Dumfries. Marcus Zygaldo then score from a corner to get Greystone back in the game but Andy Linden and Sam Rowe gave Dumfries a cushion and a late Little goals wasn't enough to help Greystone stage a comeback. At Raydale Park Annan Town extended their lead at the top as the comfortably disposed of Normandy Star. two goals in two minutes from John Campbell and Greig Goodwin had Annan in control after ten minutes. five minutes before half time Normandy were reduced to ten men and John Campbell tucked away the penalty to kill the match, and Billy Sutherland and Chris Norval added the scoreline before the interval. Lewis Peacock added a sixth and Billy Sutherland made it seven in the second half as Normandy were forced into damage control. Lochside Club moved their home game to Lockerbie and Ruthwell ran out two nil winners thanks to goals from Logan Dixon and Grant Bryson. Finally at NWCC Terregles had a four goal salvo from Stevie Green, Nathan Cannon and a trialist on target while Conor McDougal grabbed a consolation goal for FC Annan.
