Good week for Greystone

Last week was a good one for Greystone Rovers, and Joseph Marshall who grabbed a hattrick against Five Arches Bombers, and a Josh McVinnie brace saw them draw five each with Five Arches Bombers in the League cup, before easing through on penalties to send the defending champions out. Graeme Maxwell and Jordan Barker both scored twice and Duncan Smith was also on target for the Bombers. Joseph Marshall then bagged another hattrick at the weekend with Marcus Zygadlo, Sam Conchie and Jay Jaydale also on target in a 6-3 win over Lochside club who had Rees Brown, Ryan Melvin and Ben Wallace scoring for Lochside.

Lochside also crashed out of the League cup midweek at Normandy Star. John Marshall opened the scoring for Normandy, Ryan Harper bagged a brace and Scott Anderson was also on target with Dylan Haining replying for Lochside. Normandy hosted Scaur in the league at the weekend and went ahead through Chris Bailey but a late equaliser from Craig Stitt earned Scaur a point. Scaur also drew midweek with Hole in the Wa, going through on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Also through in the League cup are Annan Town who hit double figures against Eastriggs, with Billy Sutherland grabbing a hattrick and Dale Muir, Callum Laurie, Liam Grimley and Dean Gallimore all bagging doubles. Threave Development went two nil up at Terregles before a second half comeback with two goals from Allan Hunter, a Dempsey Rowan Double, Evan Shanks and Sandy Kennedy saw Terregles through. Ruthwell Rovers also came from behind as Callum Jess put Dumfries Athletic ahead before Luca Pagani scored four, Ian Pringle netted twice and Ethan Black scored, with Ewan McLellan grabbing a second for Dumfries. Palmerston Colts also progressed at the expense of FC Annan. Ryan Beattie, Ross Stevenson, Greig Lawrie, a Jordan Williamson brace and Winston Denerly scored with John Dalgliesh replying for Annan.
