Great day for Annan teams

It was a crunch match at the Everholm on Sunday with FC Annan and Eastriggs both looking for a first win. The match lived up to its billing as a solitary Chris Nelson strike gave Annan the victory, but Eastriggs will take heart from their performance. It was also a good day for Annan Town who went back tot the top of the league with a four one win at Ruthwell. Billy Sutherland opened the scoring, Dale Muir converted a penalty and John Quinn and John Campbell also found the net with Ruthwell's consolation coming curtesy of an own goal.

Five Arches Bombers dropped to second as they were held by Dumfries Athletic. Sean Kevan scored first for Bombers with Sam Rowe equalising. Kris Shannon put Bombers back in front from the spot before Cain McKie earned a share of the spoils. Palmerston Colts keep the trio of unbeaten teams intact with Ross Kerr, Ross Stevenson and Ben Louden giving them a win over Hole in the Wa. Terregles continued their menacing climb up the table with a good win at Scaur thanks to Dempsey Rowan and Gary White goals. Lochside Club edged out Threave Development in the battle of the new boys with Chris Mitchell, Diesel Ferguson and Declan Roper on target. And at Marchmount a real ding dong tussle saw Chris Bailey fire Normandy Star in front against Greystone Rovers before a Joseph Marshall double and Cobi Rogerson had the home side in front. Chris Bailey scored again, Ian Christine equalised and Michael Dunsire had Normandy in front again, Marcus Zygaldo levelled the tie and Michael Dunsire edged Normandy in front once more before a late Harris McMillan effort tied it up and in injury time Greystone grabbed all three points thanks to Lachlan McCormack.
