Ruthwell earn semi spot

Ruthwell Rovers fought their way into the TPS semi finals, edging out Terregles in a tight match. Luca Pagani and Alistair Smith on target for Rovers with Greg Allison replying for Terregles. They will face Scaur who saw off Dumfries Athletic with goals from Ross Lockhart and Drife Finlay before Andrew Cook reduced the arrears but Matt Thomson scored again to see Scaur safely through. Annan Town are also through to another Semi after easing past Five Arches Bombers. A Sean Dunbar double, a Billy Sutherland penalty and goal from Liam Grimley were enough despite strikes from Kris Shannon and Jordan Barker for the Bombers.

In the league Palmerston Colts made up a little ground at the top but had to settle for a single point at Greystone Rovers. Murray Campbell scored from distance and Jordan Williamson netted an overhead kick to put Colts in charge but a second half comeback inspired by an Olly Cairnie overhead kick and Max Wilson penalty earned Rovers a share of the spoils. Eastriggs came agonisingly close to picking up their first points as they led 3 times against Normandy Star with Cammy Irvine, Brady Irving and Michael Porter all scoring, but Star had equalisers from Jamie Rae, and Ryan Harper (twice) before Dean Waddell netted a winner. Another cracker at Holm Park saw Hole in the Wa edge out Lochside Colts. Kieran Kenny put the Wa ahead from the spot and Michael McGhie doubled their lead before Harris Roan pulled on back and William Pacey Ho levelled before the break. Sean Peat and Shaun Milligan gave the Wa a cushion again and Lochside grabbed a late consolation through Codey Ferguson. Threave Development also picked up three much needed points in an eight goal thriller with FC Annan. Lloyd Pipe and Callum Rennie both bagged a brace and Jamie Nish was also on target while Chris Nelson scored twice for Annan and Callum Grieve also found the net.
