Terregles take the Trophy

The first silverware of the season went to Terregles after a tight cup final against Annan Town. Annan had the ball in the net but it was chalked off for offside, Then Terregles thought they had a penalty but the foul was just outside the box. Chances were at a premium and it was a free kick from the left corner of the box that Alan Hunter looped over the keepers head and under the bar to give Terregles the victory.

Annan bounced back from that disappointment to extend their lead in the league with Billy Sutherland converting an early penalty against Lochside, and Callum Laurie adding a second. Palmerston Colts climbed to second with a late Jordan Williamson strike the only goal of their game at Normandy Star, while Five Arches Bombers slipped to third as Ruthwell Rovers moved within two points of them with a win courtesy of a Matty Donagher double, Robert Jardine and Grant Bryson, with Mark Zutic and Grant Elliot on the scoresheet for the Bombers. Scaur stay in the top half after coming from behind to beat Dumfries, Ewan McLellan had the visitors ahead but Ben Murphy levelled and Gavin Grierson put Scaur in front before Ross Lockhart and Craig Stitt rounded off the win. Hole in the Wa are close behind after Kieran Kenny, Michael McGhie, Scott Gordon and Mark Carruthers all netted to give them the points against Eastriggs. And Greystone Rovers climbed a spot as they beat Threave by the odd goal in five. Owen Halliday scored in the first half and Joseph Maxwell bagged a second half brace for the win.
