A third game in 8 days for Normandy was a visit from Ruthwell Rovers, who always provide a stern test. Ruthwell created some early problems for Normandy with their direct tactics and on 20 minutes a deep ball to the back post was sent towards goal and went in off a defender. Normandy struggled to get a foothold but ten minutes before the break Robbie won a header to send Luke through and he lobbed the onrushing keeper to equalise. A tactical change at half time saw Normandy take a more attacking shape and they were in front just before the hour mark as Dean found Harper with a probing pass and he smashed the ball past the keeper. Ten minutes later Robbie thought he had scored as he got in front of the defender to net, but the ref pulled it back for a foul. Within a couple of minutes Luke had a great chance when clear through but his effort flashed wide. With 15 minutes to play Normandy did get the two goal cushion as Luke fired in a corner which was headed home at the back post by Kenny. This seemed to kill off Ruthwell, though they did have a chance to reduce the arrears but Grant saved smartly. Into stoppage time, Kenny played a crossfield pass to Luke who crossed for Robbie to head home the fourth to seal a good win.
