It was a road trip to Eastriggs for Normandy this afternoon to face a home side still looking for their first points, but improving every week. The first half was a real physical battle which Eatriggs dominated, their centre backs dealt with everything thrown into the box and they threatened with some route one football. It was the home side who took the lead in the 41st minute, as a cross from the left was turned in, but Normandy levelled before half time after good work from Kenan down the right and a dangerous cross which was turned home by Jamie Rae at the back post. Into the second half and Normandy began to play more football but Eastriggs went ahead again as a corner on 56 minutes was headed clear but fired back through a mass of legs and into the net. Notmandy again wasted no time levelling as Ben collected in midfield, turned and strode forward before hitting a shot which was saved but Harper was on hand to stroke home the loose ball. Eastriggs went in front for a third time with a ball over the top and Normandy looking for offside as the attacker played in his striking partner to net. Normandy continued to press Eastriggs and with twenty to play Harper went on a run from his own half and finished coolly, and two minutes later Ben swing a free kick in from the right, the header fell to Dean who took a touch and lashed home to out Normandy ahead for the first time in the game. The home side then saw 2 players red carded before the whistle but held Normandy at bay as the game petered out.
