Both sides were coming into this match with back to back victories and a tight encounter was expected. Normandy had the better of the opening exchanges and thought they were in front when Luke netted after ten minutes but it was ruled out for offside. A minute later Dougie crossed to Harper who headed just wide, and Harper again was in on goal after 20 minutes only to be denied by a fine save. A couple of minutes later Harper got his reward as Ben played him in, he skipped a wild challenge and slid the ball past the keeper at the near post. Ten minutes before the break Harper turned provider as he touched a ball on to Luke who controlled and smashed past the keeper. Ten minutes into the second half Harper again burst through and was fouled by the keeper, with Kenny stepping up to make it three from the spot. Dumfries pulled one back soon after as a missed tackle let the striker get his shot away and it crept inside the post. A couple of substitutions from Normandy saw Robbie and Jerzy enter the fray and after an early sighter Robbie opened his account from distance on 67 minutes, his second came five minutes later as Dean played a through ball and Robbie rounded the keeper to score. With 15 minutes left Andy battled past three players from full back and played a lovely pass into the path of Harper who nutmegged the goalkeeper to make it six and ten minutes from time Robbie forced his way through the defence to complete his hat trick. Grant then pulled off a stunning save from point blank range, but Dumfries did get a late consolation with a header from a corner but could not take the gloss off an impressive Normandy win.
