Having had a week off after their demolition of Gretna, Normandy travelled to Penpont with fresh legs and high spirits, but knowing not many teams come back down the A76 with three points. Normandy started brightly and had Scaur on the back foot but a quick break following a corner saw the home side take the lead on the quarter hour mark. But within two minutes a lovely move saw Luke backheel into the path of Jerzy, who calmy lifted the ball over the diving keeper, and only a couple of minutes later Luke burst down the left and fired a cross for Harper to sweep home at the back post. Scaur levelled the match in the 33rd minute with a fine strike from the left hand side of the area sneaking inside the near post, but again Normandy responded immediately as Luke was brought down just outside the box but he drove the free kick across the face of goal and Gadget turned it home. Five minutes before the break Jamie played a crossfield pass to find Jerzy in space and he crossed for Gadget to make it 4.2. Normandy were reduced to ten early in the second half but Scaur could not make their numerical advantage count and with twenty minutes to play it was Normandy who extended their lead as Harper won the ball in midfield, fed Dean who threaded a ball through to Luke who made no mistake, and a minute later Dean again played a pass behind the defence which Luke latched onto, held off the defender and made it 6. Scaur pulled one back with ten to play but Normandy held firm for a hard earned victory.
