Normandy knew they would have to be at their best to take anything from this match and a bright start saw both Luke and Harper have chances to open the scoring, though Grant was also called into action to produce another fingertip save to keep the scoreline blank. Unfortunately Bombers did take the lead on 14 minutes with a ball down the left and a powerful shot, a ball across the face was turned in four minutes later to make it two and it was three before half an hour was played as a ball over the top of the defence was volleyed home with aplomb. An early second half goal sealed the win for Bombers and within ten minutes it was 5 as a headed clearance dropped to the striker who smashed home from outside the box. Substitutions for both sides helped Normandy get a foothold in the match as Bombers eased off but Star pushed forward, on the hour mark Ben held off his defender and scored from a narrow angle, and Normandy had other chances to reduce the arrears but couldn't add to that single goal.
