The latest challenge for Normandy was a visit to Marchmount to play a vibrant Greystone side, who have had a mixed bag of results in their debut season. The game started at an electric pace with Normandy opening the scoring on 12 minutes as Bailey took a ball on his chest and unleashed an unstoppable volley from 22 yards. Within two minutes Greystone were level, when a ball went all the way across the box and was cut back for the striker to steer home, four minutes later they took the lead with another ball across the box cleared to the edge bit fired back into the net by the striker and only five minutes later they had a third as the striker pounced on a short back pass to net. Normandy regrouped and on the half hour a shot from Ben came back of the post but Bailey gathered and fired home. Normandy started the second half on a mission and levelled when Ian hit a cross-come-shot which looped over the keeper and dropped in at the back post. Michael Dunsire came on to make his debut and within a couple of minutes had Normandy in front again as he beat the keeper to a through ball and rounded him to score. Normandy had to reshuffle when Paddy went up for a header and fell to the ground in agony, we wish him a speedy recovery from what looks like a nasty injury. Greystone levelled again with a well struck shot just out of Rabs reach, but with ten to play Michael grabbed his second with a sublime 25 yard chip. With time running out Greystone tied the score up again from a corner and in the 6th minute of stoppage time a kickout from the Greystone keeper flew over the Normandy defence and the attacker burst onto it to steal all three points.
