Normandy Star 4 Lochside Club 1

Normandy weren't sure what to expect from new side Lochside Club who have had a real mixed bag of results so far. An early goal certainly helped, with John prodding home a loose ball after a corner with only four minutes played. Ten minutes later a ball into the box was held up well by Bailey and his pass gave Harper an easy finish. Normandy seemed to be cruising but a pass back was kicked out to the attacker who slotted into an empty net to give Lochside a foothold in the game. The match became quite attritional, and the number of fouls meant neither side could build any momentum. Normandy were creating the better openings and it was no surprise they extended their lead with 25 to play after Ian played Harper in on the right and his cross was headed home deftly by Scott. Ten minutes later Ian broke down the right and squared for Harper to add a fourth. Bailey saw red for a second yellow and Lochside did earn a series of free kicks as they tried to get back in the game but Normandy safely eased through to the second round.
