Normandy visited Northwest Campus to take on Terregles in a cup tie just two weeks after a league humbling and eager for revenge. A tough task was made all the harder with a bare 11 players available. Terregles started in control of possession and passing the ball sharply, they had a goal disallowed for offside and saw one hit the underside of the bar and bounce out on the half hour. The defining point of the game came in the 32nd minute with a Terregles player receiving two quick yellow cards. Normandy got a foothold in the game against the ten men but on the stroke of half time Terregles cleared a free kick to the other end leaving the striker one on one to open the scoring. Early in the second half they got a second from a free kick on the edge of the box and on the hour mark Harper went through but his shot cannoned off the keepers legs all the way to the striker on the half way line and he raced clear to make it three. Normandy could've folded but pulled a goal back quickly as Ben crossed for Harper to head home and a couple of minutes later Harper was played in down the left and finished well. Terregles restored the two goal cushion with a ball into the box held up by the striker and laid off for the runner to smash home. Normandy pulled it back to 4.3 with 20 minutes to play as Andy crossed for Ian to head in. Terregles were content to try and keep possession as Normandy pushed for an equaliser but with 5 minutes to play a fifth goal, almost identical to the fourth sealed the win for Terregles.
