Park Thistle 2 Summerhill 1
Park were looking to make it three wins on the bounce but their usual sluggish start saw them a goal behind after only 3 minutes when two missed tackles on the edge of the box were punished when the striker lashed the ball into the roof of the net. Things went from bad to worse for Park as Cairn Jamieson saw red on 17 minutes to leave them with a mountain to climb. The ten men more than held their own though and ten minutes before half time Robbie Simpson picked up the ball with his back to goal 30 yards out and turned to run through the defence and smash home. Park almost took the lead in the 55th minute when a fierce Jamie Simpson free kick was heading for the top corner but somehow the keeper tipped it over the bar. Summerhill were trying to get in behind the Park but the defence stood firm and Park looked dangerous going forward. As the match looked like ending in stalemate Owen Huxham played a ball in behind the defence and Robbie raced onto it to grab a dramatic winner. Robbie still had time to pick up a second yellow as Park finish with nine men but three more points.
