Sands 1 Park Thistle 7
Sands 1 Park Thistle 7 Park were looking to get back to winning ways against struggling Sands and they dominated the early part of a scrappy game without creating any real chances. It took until the 25th minute when Robbie Simpson burst into the box and was upended, then picked himself up to dispatch the penalty. Within ten minutes it was two as a crossfield ball was controlled and smashed in by Chris Bailey, he could have had another less than a minute later as he was played in running from his own half one on one but his lob went over the keeper and the crossbar. It was three before half time though as Jamie Simpson played in Dougie Rae who knocked the ball over the onrushing keeper. Park stepped up a gear at the start of the second half with Bailey getting his second on 49 minutes slotting home from edge of the box, and two minutes later denied his hat trick with the keeper saving a one on one, but not for long as he headed home from the corner. Just before the hour mark Dougie got his second with a crisp first time hit to make it 6.0. The pace of the game dropped again and Sands pulled one back from the penalty spot but with five minutes to play Park completed the scoring as Cairn Jamieson delivered a deep cross which found it's way to Dougie at the back post to complete his hat trick.
