Park Thistle 3 Summerhill 3
Both sides came into this match after a defeat last weekend knowing three points were vital to reignite their promotion chances. Park started brightly and after five minutes Nik Lismanis fed Robbie Simpson down the left and he fizzed the ball across the face of the goal but no-one was there to touch in. A couple of minutes later Mark Hoskins won possession thirty yards out, took a couple of steps towards goal and fired in a shot which came back off the upright. Summerhill responded immediately as they put pressure on a passback and eventually won possession to score. Park were level within 5 minutes though as Cole Rogerson took a throw in on the right, got the ball back and smashed the ball goalward from 45 yards seeing it sail over the keepers head and just under the bar. On 22 minutes a corner from Nik was headed just wide by Robbie and a minute later a flick on from Bailey put Dougie in but the keeper saved well. Summerhill were ahead again after 35 minutes as they broke down the left and the striker beat Kriss to the ball, his shot hit the bar but the rebound was headed home, Nik was booked for his protests. Park had a couple of chances to level before half time with Bailey heading wide from a corner and Andrew Baird unable to turn a cross home at the back post. Summerhill had a chance to extend their lead just before the break with a dangerous cross from the left fired across the face of the goals. Park started the second half on the front foot with Dougie again getting one on one and forcing a save from the keeper and Bailey heading over from the corner. A couple of minutes later the scores were level as Dougie Rae stretched to poke past the keeper and injured himself in the process. Park went in front for the first time on 55 minutes when Chris Bailey was played in on the right, beat his defender and fired in off the far post. The lead only lasted two minutes as Summerhill threw a deep ball in from the left wing and the striker finished at the back post. The last twenty minutes saw chances for both teams to win it but a series of fine saves from Kriss Lismanisand the Summerhill keeper made sure the sides finished level.
