Summerhill 2 Park Thistle 0

n a highly anticipated match Park took on the league leaders looking for a win to draw them level in the table. Some sloppy defending allowed Summerhill to take an early lead and left Park chasing the game, as the two sides largely cancelled eachother out for the entire first half. There was more action to speak of in the second 45 as Thistle pushed for an equaliser and Summerhill looked to take advantage on the break, and on the hour mark it could have been two but for a smart save from Kriss Lismanis. Park had three good chances to level in five minutes as Chris Bailey was denied from close range, Jonny Roome headed over the bar an Owen Welsh saw his shot pushed round the post. The killer second came with 15 minutes to play with a ball down the left to the striker who cut in and curled home. Jonny had another header just clear the bar as the game fizzled out.
