Park Thistle 3 Kelloholm 2
Park start brightly and were finding some joy with Jonny Riddick down the left wing but were hit with a sucker punch after only three minutes when a slack back header was intercepted by the Kelloholm striker who lifted the ball over Kriss Lismanis and into the net. Park continued to press as they chased the game with Jonny forcing a great save from the keeper on the 20th minute and Chris Bailey heading over from the resultant corner. Bailey then shot just wide on 33 minutes but a couple of minutes later Park levelled as a corner pinballed about the box before Owen Welsh lashed into the net. Five minutes later Park were in front thanks to a Quinn Rogerson header. The second half continued in the same vein with Robert Chambers pulling a shot wide then Bailey seeing his dipping effort clear the bar and on the hour mark it looked like they would rue those missed chances with Kelloholm awarded a soft penalty which was duly scored to level the game. A couple of minutes later Owen could have put Park ahead again but he put his shot over the bar. On 67 minutes Robbie Simpson was nudged in the box and Bailey stepped up to cooly put Park back in front from the spot. Five minutes from time a challenge from Robbie sparked an exchange which saw Jamie Simpson and two Kelloholm players sent off. The game then fizzled out with Park holding in for the win.
