Park had the chance to go joint top with a win, and started brightly. The first real chance came on 10 minutes as Jordan Gilmour robbed the defender and crossed from the left but Rab Clyde saw his shot cannon back off the bar. Ruthwell then broke up the other end but the striker lobbed the keeper but the ball went wide of the goal. Ruthwell took the lead on 26 minutes when a long range shot was palmed out by Lee Astley but the striker reacted first to roll across goal for a tap in. Five minutes later Park were two down as another shot from distance caught out the keeper and crept inside the post. Park pulled one back early in the second half when Jamie Simpson floated a free kick into the box and it landed at the feet of Robbie Simpson to smash home. Park were pushing to get back in the game but Ruthwell were remaining hard to break down but their task was made harder on 55 minutes when hey were reduced to ten men. Park began to find gaps but it took til the 70th minute to get the equaliser as a Robbie Simpson corner was headed in by Quinn Rogerson. Three minutes later Park were in front as Quinn dinked the ball into the box for Robbie to send a looping header over the keeper. Ruthwell did push to try and get back in the game but Park looked capable of seeing the match out and made sure of the points two minutes from time when Robbie again crossed to find Rab Clyde in the middle to head home. They still had time to add a fifth with Tyler Jamieson sending a deep cross to the back post and Dougie Rae heading down to beat the keeper to give Park their fourth win on the trot!
