Park Thistle 1 FC Annan 10

An enforced lay off last week seemed to cause Park a lethargy in this crucial tie. A comeback win at Annan had sparked four wins in a row but there was to be no fifth as FC Annan gained a measure of revenge for that match. The pitch was slick at Kingholm, and Annan seemed to adapt best to the conditions. A whirlwind start saw them three up inside ten minutes. Park settled but Annan still threatened and the fourth came after 25 minutes and a fifth after the half hour killed off the home side. Park were praying for the half time whistle but Annan managed a sixth before the break. FC Annan were passing the ball crisply and seemed half a yard ahead of the home side, adding a seventh on the hour before Cole Rogerson grabbed a consolation from long range. It was soon normal service resumed though with three more goals helping Annan reach double figures. Park will look to regroup with another week off next weekend following the Race Night at the Riverside Bar next Saturday Night.
