Park started brightly in this match taking the game to Loreburn but it took 18 minutes to break the deadlock, with Robbie Simpson bursting down the right and finishing well. The second came 3 minutes later as Dougie Rae played a defence splitting pass and Nik Lismanis finished coolly then a couple of minutes later Nik completed his brace from a Quinn Rogerson cross. Loreburn went down to ten men as Jamie Rae limped off and then another injury meant they were up against it with nine men. And Robbie Simpson volleyed home a cross from Nik to all but end the contest before half an hour was played. The fifth came five minutes before half time as Alan Finnigan waltzed through the middle and slotted home. Park were creating chance after chance but failing to take them and it took til the hour mark for Robbie to score the sixth and complete his hat trick, then a lapse in concentration let in Lewis Kirkpatrick to grab a consolation. A swathe of substitutions for Park freshened things up and on 66 minutes Jonny Riddick crossed for Cairn Jamieson to score, ten minutes later two more subs combined as Chris Mitchell fed Laurie Reid to make it eight. With five minutes to play Jamie Simpson scored the ninth from a Nik Lismanis corner and Chris Mitchell pounced to bring up double figures before full time.
