Park Thistle 1 Five Arches Bombers 4
Despite second spot being out of reach Park were looking to end their league campaign on a high by taking the Bombers unbeaten record, and knew a defeat could ultimately see them finish as low as fifth with FC Annan and Summerhill snapping at their heels. Despite that they were almost caught napping straight from kick off as Five Arches came close to scoring inside ten seconds. Park went on the front foot after this scare and won a corner which Robbie Simpson delivered for Quinn Rogerson to head home the opener. There was little to choose between the sides in the first half, with Park looking good value for their lead but Bombers aren't champions for nothing and they cut their way through the defence to level on the half hour. Into the second half Five Arches were awarded a penalty as Nik Lismanis rushed out to save but the striker knocked the ball wide of him and took the impact, the spot kick was duly dispatched. The tackles began to fly in and yellow cards were dished out as Bombers stepped up a gear, adding a third on 67 minutes and a fourth three minutes later. The last 20 minutes was more about cards than goals as both sides were reduced to ten men. Leaving Park looking for a cup run to extend their season.
