Park Thistle 2 Queens Bar 5 (AET)
A semi final against Five Arches was on offer for the winners, but a defeat would be the last game of the season. The game started slowly as the sides sized eachother up with chances few and far between. It took til the 38th minute for the first clear sight at goal as the ball was delivered to the unmarked Queens Bar striker at the back post to control and fire home. Park showed more impetus in the second half and levelled on 55 minutes as Rab Clyde lashed home from the edge of the box. Then four minutes later Park were ahead as Jamie Simpson stepped up to fire a 30 yard free kick into the net. Kriss Lismanis pulled off a fine diving save to deny Queens an equaliser and Park had chances to go further ahead with Rab Porter making some important saves including tipping a Dougie Rae drive onto the bar. As the 90 minutes approached Queens Bar were piling forward to rescue the game and in the third minute of added time they scored to bring up extra time. Both sides were tiring and penalties looked inevitable until a clumsy challenge saw Queens Bar awarded a spot kick which was dispatched. Park then had to chase the game with tired legs and two more goals in the final two minutes gave the scoreline an unfairly lopsided look.
