Park Thistle 3 Summerhill 5
Park hosted Summerhill with the two sides both having won midweek and looking for the three points which would help them set the early pace. Park started brightly and took the lead in 3 minutes as Dougie Rae pounced on a loose pass in the defence to slot home the opener but Summerhill were level within a couple of minutes as a cross from the right was touched away from the striker by Kriss Lismanis who took a knock in the process but the ref waved play on and the ball came back across goal and was headed in. Park had to reshuffle with Jamie Simpson replacing Kriss in goals. On 23 minutes Park made a second substitution as Jonny Riddick limped off replaced by Cairn Jamieson. A minute later Chris Bailey squared the ball to Dougie who shot wide and Summerhill could have gone ahead as their striker found space but Jamie saved well. On 28 minutes Summerhill failed to clear a free kick and Bailey lashed a loose ball into the net but on the half hour Summerhill levelled from the penalty spot but within a minute Park were back ahead as Bailey glanced a header into the net. Park had chances to extend their lead in the second half as Cairn weaved into the box but shot wide and a Dougie also pulled a shot wide before Summerhill levelled again with a thumping long range effort then took the lead for the first time with a drive from the edge if the box. With 15 to play Summerhill added a fifth with a cool finish and despite efforts park couldn't find any way back into the match. Next up is an away trip in the Scottish Trophy.
